SUBJ: 2019 RESERVE HIGH YEAR TENURE (R-HYT)

1. Reserve High Year Tenure (R-HYT) is designed to improve workforce
management by balancing the need for experienced personnel with greater
advancement opportunity.
2. Due to current workforce needs, the 2019 E-3 to E-9 Professional Growth
Point (PGP) requirement outlined Ch. 8.B.7.b. of REF A is hereby waived, and
the 2019 R-HYT Waiver Panel is cancelled.
3. Subject to the needs of the Service, enlisted reservists in paygrades E-3
and above who do not meet their PGP requirement beyond 01 OCT 2019 may be
removed from an active status IAW REFs A and B.
