Coast Guard medevacs injured man south of Panama City
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced an injured man from 50 nautical miles south of Panama City, Florida, Saturday.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a report at 9:53 a.m. from the vessel Green Banana about a man who had sustained lacerations to his leg.
Watchstanders launched a Coast Guard Panama City 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew with an emergency medical technician aboard.
The boatcrew arrived on scene at 11:20 a.m. and transported the man to Panama City Marina to emergency services at 12:34 p.m.
The man was reported in poor condition.
