76-year-old woman medically evacuated by Coast Guard near Coos Bay, Oregon

A Coast Guard Sector North Bend aircrew medically evacuated a woman reportedly suffering from kidney failure while aboard a cruise ship 50 miles southwest of Coos Bay, Aug. 13, 2018.

The aircrew arrived on scene aboard an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew, medevac’d the woman from the ship named Grand Princess and safely transported her to the Bay Area Hospital at 12:50 p.m.

COOS BAY, Ore. -- A Coast Guard aircrew medically evacuated a woman reportedly suffering from kidney failure while aboard a cruise ship 50 miles southwest of Coos Bay, Monday.

An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Sector North Bend medevac’d the woman from the ship named Grand Princess and safely transported her to the Bay Area Hospital at 12:50 p.m.

Coast Guard Sector North Bend Command Center watchstanders received a request for medical assistance from a crewmember aboard the cruise ship at 10:30 a.m.

The woman’s condition is unknown at this time.
