WHAT: An opportunity for media members to record footage of the Hamilton's return to port and to conduct interviews

WHERE: Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, 2000 Bainbridge Ave., North Charleston, SC 29405

WHEN: Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Media interested in participating are asked to arrive at FLETC by 12:30 p.m.

 

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Members of the media are invited to attend the Coast Guard Cutter Hamilton crew's return to homeport Thursday at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Charleston.

The Hamilton crew will be returning from a 71-day patrol in which they conducted Combat Systems Ship Qualification Trials (CSSQT), counter-drug operations and represented the United States at Sail Cartagena de Indias 2018.

Media interested in attending will need to be vetted prior to accessing the facility and are asked to fill out the following form (FORM HERE) and email it to Ryan.J.Dickinson@uscg.mil. All vehicles entering the facility will need to be screened.

Media must RSVP before noon Thursday with Petty Officer 3rd Class Ryan Dickinson at 305-318-1864.

The Hamilton is a 418-foot National Security Cutter homeported in Charleston. The Hamilton's primary missions include counter drug, alien and migrant interdiction and search and rescue operations.
