SUBJ: AY19 HEALTH SERVICES TECHNICIAN (HS) "C" SCHOOL PCS SOLICITATION
A. Military Assignments and Authorized Absences, COMDTINST M1000.8A
1. PSC-epm-2 is soliciting candidates for the following "C" schools
in Assignment Year 2019 (AY19).
2. Interested members should apply by submitting a completed and
properly endorsed Short Term Resident Training Request (CG-5223) with
the class convening date blank, a memo stating why they are applying
for a specific school or schools and a copy of their current NREMT
card to the HS Assignment Officer (AO) as a scanned document to
Kathleen.M.Svenson@uscg.mil. Members shall submit a request to the
AO NLT close of business, 1 September 2018.  The HS AO will assign a
class convening date that meets the service, unit, and member needs.
3. Courses:
   A. Surface Force Independent Duty Corpsman (SFIDC)
   B. Advanced Radiographer
   C. Preventative Medicine Technician
4. Members must be tour complete in AY19 to apply. However, tour
completion date can always be waived to meet service needs. All
applicants must be current on their EMT qualification when applying
for these courses. Final approval will depend on seat availability in
the listed courses.
5. Prerequisites:
   A. SFIDC: HS1/HS2 or above the cut for HS2. Upon successful
completion of this course, members should expect assignment to a
cutter.
   B. Advanced Radiographer: HS2 or above the cut for HS2.  Upon
successful completion of this course, members should expect assignment
based on service need.
   C. Preventive Medicine Technician: HS1/HS2 or above the cut for HS2.
Upon successful completion of this course, members should expect
assignment based on service need.
6. As a reminder candidates should ensure their EI-PDR is complete and
accurate (e.g. CG-4082, CG-3307s, awards, and academic transcripts).
Members can request a copy of their official record by submitting a
signed CG memo via e-mail to ARL-PF-CGPSC-MR_CustomerService@uscg.mil.
Members are also encouraged to review their ESS in CGBI. The ESS
provides a consolidated view of their information as it appears in
Direct Access. This serves as a means for every Coast Guard member to
review their personal data and to ensure the information in Direct
Access is up to date and accurate.
