Coast Guard Air Station Port Angeles Change-of-Command

The change-of-command ceremony is a time-honored tradition, which ensures that all hands know of the shift in authority and that a duly authorized officer is placed in charge.

Hiigel’s next assignment is at Coast Guard 1st District in Boston, Mass., where he will serve as the Incident Manager.

Command was passed from Capt. Mark E. Hiigel and assumed by Cmdr. M. Scott Jackson. The national anthem was played on the flute by Hiigel's daughter Tana.
