EMERALD ISLE, N.C. — A Coast Guard crew is scheduled to reunite Friday in Emerald Isle with a Charlotte man they rescued May 19.

 

The Station Emerald Isle crew spent the night searching for Charlie Bowers of Charlotte after his vessel capsized near Bogue Inlet May 18. The crew found him clinging to the hard-top canopy from the overturned boat.

 

Bowers and crew members will be available for interviews.
