Coast Guard Band to perform free concerts in Cape May, NJ, Chester, PA
PHILADELPHIA — The Coast Guard Band is scheduled to perform a free public concert at Cape May Regional High School June 8th, from 7 to 9 p.m., and at Harrah’s Philadelphia, June 9th, from 5 to 7 p.m., as part of the band’s 2018 mid-Atlantic concert tour.
Free tickets for the Cape May Regional High School performance may be reserved here.
No tickets are required for the Harrah's Philadelphia performance; it is free and open to the public.
Lt. Cmdr. Adam Williamson leads an engaging program with works by Bernstein, Wagner, Sousa and others. Dazzling soloists include soprano Petty Officer 1st Class Megan Weikleenget, as well as instrumentalists from the band.
The Coast Guard Band is the premier band representing the United States Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security. The 55-member ensemble is based at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut.
