SUBJ: AY19 CHIEF PETTY OFFICER ACADEMY INSTRUCTOR (CPOA) SOLICITATION

1. This message solicits candidates and outlines the application
process for CPOs interested in a special duty assignment as
instructor at the Chief Petty Officer Academy (CPOA) located at
TRACEN Petaluma, CA.
2. This position provides a unique opportunity to strengthen the
Chiefs Mess by helping other Chief Petty Officers further develop
their leadership skills as they relate to systems and strategic
thinking, diversity, ethics, communications, as well as health and
well being. This assignment will help bolster leadership knowledge,
skills, and abilities to a wide array of Chief Petty Officers,
Master Sergeants, and International students.
3. Specific program requirements can be found on the Special
Assignments portal page at reference (a).
4. Qualifications: Applicants must meet the following requirements:
A. Tour complete in AY19.
B. E7 (not above the cut for E8).
C. Meet the requirements listed in reference (b), CH 1.E.2 and 1.E.6.
D. Graduate from the CPO Academy or DoD Senior Enlisted Course.

request must be received NLT COB 15 July 2018. An E-resume or Command
endorsement in Direct Access is not required for this position.
