SUBJ:  HALF MASTING OF NATIONAL ENSIGN
A. U.S. Coast Guard Regulations 1992, COMDTINST M5000.3 (SERIES)
1. As directed by the President of the United States, the national ensign shall be flown
at half mast until sunset on May 15, 2018, in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day 2018.
This is a tribute to peace officers and in honor of peace officers who, through their
courageous deeds, lost their lives or became disabled in the line of duty.
2. The national ensign shall be flown at half mast on all Coast Guard buildings, grounds,
and vessels not underway.
