Alaska Regional Response Team to hold meeting in Juneau, Alaska
JUNEAU, Alaska – The Alaska Regional Response Team will conduct a meeting at the Hurff A. Saunders Federal Building, Wednesday, May 16, 2018.
Government, private and not-for-profit organizations involved in or concerned about pollution preparedness and response policy in Alaska are encouraged to attend. The public is also invited to attend either in-person or telephonically. A public comment period is scheduled. Those wishing to comment must sign up during the meeting. Agendas and contact information for the meeting can be located on the ARRT website at www.alaskarrt.org.
The ARRT is an interagency, intergovernmental coordinating group consisting of representatives of 14 federal agencies, the State of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, and federally-recognized tribes responsible for developing and maintaining policies for preparedness and response to discharges of oil and releases of other hazardous substances in Alaska and surrounding waters. The ARRT has a supporting role in responding to such releases.
