2018 Navy Fleet Week and Tall Ships Event

NOLA Navy Week 2018 is a high profile, world recognized event with a significant number of visitors to the New Orleans area. With an assortment of active military warships, cutters, and tall ships, the event will draw an overwhelming number of people to the French Quarter and river view areas of the City of New Orleans.

Various Navy vessels and Tall Ships are scheduled to berth in the New Orleans area from Thursday, April 19 until Wednesday, April 25. Vessels will be located on the left descending bank at Woldenburg Park, Julia Street Warf, and Thalia Street Warf in the vicinity of mile marker (MM) 94 to MM 96 Lower Mississippi River, Above Head of Passes. All attractions can be accessed shore side only from Friday April 20 through Monday April 23, and patrons are encouraged to attend.

Mariners be advised that a 500 yard naval protection security zone around the Navy vessels and Tall Ships will be enforced by the U.S. Coast Guard as well as local law enforcement agencies throughout the duration of the event. The Captain of the Port New Orleans is advising all mariners to exercise extreme caution and maintain situational awareness when transiting the area.

A U.S. Coast Guard vessel will be on scene for the duration of the event and may be contacted on VHF-FM Channel 16 in the event of an emergency.
