Coast Guard medevacs 71-year-old man 23 miles east of Jupiter
MIAMI—The Coast Guard medevaced a 71-year-old man from a 41-foot pleasure craft, Tuesday approximately 23 miles east of Jupiter.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Miami received a call from a friend aboard the pleasure craft at approximately 11 a.m., stating the man fell and suffered a hip injury.
A Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet 45-foot Response Boat—Medium crew who arrived on scene, embarked the patient and transferred to awaiting local Riviera Beach Fire Rescue who transported him to St. Mary's Hospital.
