MIAMI — The Coast Guard medevaced a 27-year-old man Monday from the 590-foot Norwegian-flagged motor tanker Hoegh Trotter approximately 14 miles east of Lake Worth Inlet.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Miami received a call on VHF-FM marine-band radio channel 16 at 11:15 a.m. from a crewmember aboard the tanker Hoegh Trotter stating a crewmember was suffering from concussion-like symptoms.

A Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew arrived on scene and transported the man to the station where emergency medical services were waiting. EMS personnel took him to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach.
