Coast Guard medevacs 62-year-old man near Destin
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a man from his vessel in Destin Harbor near Destin, Florida, Tuesday.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a call at 7:51 a.m. from the 62-year-old man with leg pain on an anchored sailing vessel in Destin Harbor.
Watchstanders directed the launch of a Coast Guard Station Destin 24-foot Special Purpose Craft boatcrew at 7:58 a.m.
The boatcrew successfully transferred the man to Station Destin where he was transferred to emergency services and taken to Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center.
The individual was reported in good condition.
