SUBJ:  OMBUDSMAN APPRECIATION DAY
1. On 26 March 2018, we celebrate Ombudsman Appreciation Day, to
recognize the critical link ombudsmen provide between command
leadership and families. Commands are encouraged to host appropriate
functions that express gratitude and appreciation for the service
ombudsmen provide to Coast Guard personnel and their families.
2. Ombudsmen are always on watch and serve as our members serve.
With the multitude of challenges that our Coast Guard families face,
their role is more important than ever in maintaining mission and
family readiness. Ombudsmen work relentlessly to support Coast Guard
families and to provide leadership, experience, and support.
3. To learn more about the Ombudsman Program and how you can support
your ombudsman visit www.dcms.uscg.mil/ombudsman.
