MIAMI —  The Coast Guard rescued a man from the water Sunday near Crash Boat Beach, Puerto Rico.

Coast Guard Sector San Juan watchstanders received a call at approximately 3 p.m., from a good Samaritan reporting three people were knocked into the water by a swell while boogie boarding.

A Coast Guard Air Station Borinquen MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew arrived on scene at approximately 3:30 p.m., and hoisted the man who reportedly had a broken wrist. The other two men made it back to shore safely on their own.

The aircrew transferred the man to emergency medical services at the air station for further care.
