3-91.13.
A. Machinery Space Firefighting (MSF) Medium Endurance Cutter 270
(WMEC) Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures, CGTTP 3-91.13.
1. REF (A) is promulgated and shall be reviewed by all 270 (WMEC) commanding
officers (COs) and cutter personnel who may conduct firefighting in a machinery
space.
2. Knowledge of firefighting systems, smoke control, personnel protection, duties
and responsibilities, space isolation, communication, and post-fire actions are
paramount for controlling the spread of a fire and protecting the ship and crew.
REF (A) provides commanding officers with information on best practices. 
3. The official electronic version of REF (A) is maintained by Force Readiness
Command Training Division (FC-T) within the TTP library. The TTP library can be
accessed by navigating to CGPortal, selecting ‘References’, and then selecting
‘TTP Library and Projects’.
4. Bravo Zulu to members of the integrated process team (IPT) for your time,
professionalism, and diligence. IPT partners who supported development of this TTP
include COMDT (CG-452), ATO LANT, HSWL Safety, SFLC, and the WMEC fleet.
