Coast Guard conducts investigation of fire aboard commercial container ship MOL PRESTIGE in Port of Seattle

 

Coast Guard Sector Puget Sound marine investigator and senior investigators with the Transportation and Safety Board of Canada boarded the 876-feet container ship MOL PRESTIGE on February 12, 2018, at Pier 18 in the Port of Seattle to begin preliminary investigations into the cause of the engine room fire as it began its voyage to Tokyo, Japan, on February 1.
