Coast Guard medevacs man from cruise ship near Bahamas
MIAMI— The Coast Guard medevaced a 42-year-old man with stomach pains from the cruise ship Koningsdam Saturday approximately 46 miles east of the Bahamas.
Coast Guard 7th District watchstanders received a medevac request at approximately 8:50 a.m. Watchstanders launched an Air Station Clearwater MH-60 Jawhawk helicopter crew who arrived on scene at approximately 12:00 p.m and hoisted the patient with his nurse.
The man was transferred to local emergency medical services at approximately 2:45 p.m. He has since been transferred to Doctor's Hospital.
