1. COMDT (CG-1) has approved the report of the RPA Designation Board, which
convened on 1 November 2017 and reconvened on 11 December 2017.
2. Subject to final approval by the Secretary, the following officers are
recommended for designation as provisional RPAs. Primary selectees are listed
in alphabetical order and alternates in order of selection:

3. Upon acceptance, all CWOs will be appointed under the authority of
reference (a) as temporary reserve lieutenants with RPA designation.
To accomplish this, regular CWO selectees will first be required to accept
an appointment to a reserve warrant officer grade under reference (b). This
change will be reflected in the next update to reference (c).
4. Selectees should contact CG PSC-OPM-2, LCDR Mary D. Brooks,
Mary.D.Brooks@uscg.mil, to coordinate provisional RPA Designation
and assignment opportunities.
5. Selectees who do not desire RPA Designation must notify LCDR Mary D. Brooks
NLT 09 February 2018.
