Coast Guard assists mariners in Pascagoula Channel

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard rescued three mariners in the Pascagoula Channel in Mississippi, Friday.

Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a notification at 1 p.m. of a 34-foot catamaran that became disabled upon its arrival to Pascagoula Channel on its voyage from Dauphin Island, Alabama, to Pascagoula, Mississippi.

Watchstanders directed the launch of a Coast Guard Station Pascagoula 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew.
