Coast Guard assists mariners in Pascagoula Channel
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard rescued three mariners in the Pascagoula Channel in Mississippi, Friday.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a notification at 1 p.m. of a 34-foot catamaran that became disabled upon its arrival to Pascagoula Channel on its voyage from Dauphin Island, Alabama, to Pascagoula, Mississippi.
Watchstanders directed the launch of a Coast Guard Station Pascagoula 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew.
The boatcrew assisted the mariners and safely towed the catamaran to Scranton Park.
