SUBJ: CY 2017 COAST GUARD RESERVE POLICY BOARD (CG RPB) FINAL REPORT

1. This ALCOAST announces the release of the CY 2017 Coast Guard Reserve Policy
Board (CG RPB) Report which convened on 01 MAY 2017. REF (A) invited commands,
as well as any member, active or Reserve, to submit issues to the CG RPB.
2. The CG RPB received a total of 25 submissions for consideration. The Board
reviewed and made recommendations on all policy issues, and 4 additional issues.
A complete list of the reviewed submissions and recommendations is provided in
the 2017 CG RPB Report.
3. Commands and members are encouraged to view the final 2017 CG RPB Report, and
previous board reports, on the following CG PORTAL page:

4. The Commandant has directed all CG RPB recommendations be referred to the
cognizant program offices for consideration. Items which receive concurrent
clearance shall be implemented.
