Discontinued Aids to Navigation in the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet

Due to closure of the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet several years ago, the below Aids to Navigation no longer serve a purpose to the mariner, and are misleading on charts 11364 and 11367. The following changes will be made following the week of December 12, 2017:

 

The following aids will be discontinued:

  1. Mississippi River Gulf Outlet Light 125 (LLNR-11855) in approximate position 30-00-02.312 N / 089-54-53.514W.
  2. Mississippi River Gulf Outlet Light 126 (LLNR-11860) in approximate position 30-00-04.256N / 089-54-42.754W.
  3. Mississippi River Gulf Outlet Light 127 (LLNR-11865) in approximate position 30-00-19.272N / 089-55-23.766W.
  4. Mississippi River Gulf Outlet Light 128 (LLNR-11870) in approximate position 30-00-18.317N / 089-55-01.961W.
  5. Mississippi River Gulf Outlet Junction Light MRGO (LLNR-11875) in approximate position 30-00-27.566N / 089-55-18.004W.
  6. Mississippi River Gulf Outlet Light 129 (LLNR-11880) in approximate position 30-00-19.410N / 089-55-53.972W.
