NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard has completed initial assessments of the Mississippi River and its tributaries following Hurricane Nate, Sunday.

The New Orleans Captain of the Port has cancelled the port condition Zulu, allowing vessel movement into and out of the river without restrictions.

Early preparation by and communication between federal, state, local, and industry partners helped minimize the potential for damage in the New Orleans Captain of the Port zone.
