Coast Guard established new working telephone numbers in the U.S. Virgin Islands
SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO -- The U.S. Coast Guard Boat Forces Branch St. Thomas located in the port of Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands has established new working telephone numbers effective today.
To schedule a Coast Guard marine inspector, call: 786-493-3061 or 786-442-6279
To schedule a waterfront facilities inspection, call: 786-479-7841
To contact Marine Safety Detachment St. Thomas for general information, call: 786-442-6667
The above numbers are strictly for marine inspections, waterfront facility inspections and the Marine Safety Detachment St. Thomas for general Marine Safety Detachment information. Any requests for welfare checks should go to the following:
The American Red Cross Safe and Well website, available in Spanish, is a free public reunification tool that allows individuals registering as safe or post to the website. Enrollment and searches can be done by visiting:

Enrollment can also be completed by texting SAFE or SEGURO to 78876, and survivors can use one phone to enroll multiple people.

Coast Guard Sector San Juan established the Boat Forces Branch in St. Thomas to help bring relief to the citizens of the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Coast Guard is committed to partnering with the U.S. Virgin Island Government and the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help the region recover.
