SUBJ: OFF-SEASON SOLICITATION - USCGC ROBERT WARD (WPC-1130)
A. Military Assignments and Authorized Absences, COMDTINST M1000.8A
1. CG PSC-epm-2 is soliciting candidates for the crew of USCGC
ROBERT WARD (WPC-1130), the second FRC homeported at Sector LA/LB in
San Pedro, CA. Standard tour length for all members is three years.
Successful completion of this tour will constitute an assignment
priority three in accordance with reference (a).
2. The Coast Guard is scheduled to take delivery of CGC ROBERT
WARD OOA 21AUG2018. Members will be assigned a report date of
1MAR2018 for E-5 and above, E-4 and below 15MAY2018. Positions are

3. Application Procedures: Interested candidates shall submit an
eResume via Direct Access no later than 18OCT2017. Any commands
that have backfill concerns due to the early report date should
send an email to the POC listed in paragraph 5. Additionally, DCs
and GMs must receive an Independent Duty Command Endorsement IAW
reference (A), Ch 1.C.16, that specifically addresses the member’s
leadership ability, rating knowledge, ability to work unsupervised,
and initiative.
4. All positions require a Secret security clearance. Members
applying must either have a current security clearance or eligible
to receive a security clearance.
