Coast Guard medevacs 62-year-old man south of San Diego (video available)

SAN DIEGO — The Coast Guard medevaced a 62-year-old man approximately 22 miles south of San Diego, Thursday.
At approximately 3 p.m., the crew of the sportfishing vessel Royal Polaris contacted Coast Guard Sector San Diego's Joint Harbor Operations Center watchstanders to report a passenger experiencing symptoms of a stroke.
A Coast Guard Sector San Diego MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew was launched to medevac the man.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., the Jayhawk crew arrived on scene, hoisted the passenger and took him to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla.
His condition is unknown.
