1. Per Ref A, the deadline for all submissions for sports participation grants for NAF Year 2018
(1 February 2018 through 31 January 2019) is 3 January 2018. Since grant requests usually
exceed available funding, requests received after the deadline will not be considered.
2. Active duty members desiring funding assistance for sports competitions during NAF Year
2018 may submit a request to CSC via their unit Commanding Officer, their cognizant authority
for MWR purposes, and the supporting Base, if applicable, for consideration.
3. Enclosure 11 of Ref A details the required information necessary for each specific grant
request.
4. Requests may be mailed to the Coast Guard Community Services Command, 510
Independence Parkway, Suite 500, Chesapeake, VA 23320-5180, Attn: CWO2 Mark Durning or
emailed with all endorsements provided to Terry.M.Durning@uscg.mil.
