MIAMI — Coast Guard works alongside Customs and Border Protection agents in St. Louis, Mo., in response to Hurricane Irma.
Coast Guard aviators and Customs and Border Protection Air Interdiction Agents worked in coordinating flights to support relief efforts in South Florida.
"The partnership between U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and the Coast Guard has been critical in helping provide aerial insight and assistance to Hurricane Irma relief efforts in the Florida Keys, said Capt. Shawn Koch chief of the Coast Guard's Seventh District Incident Management. "The resources and expertise that our DHS partners bring to the table will help expedite the opening of bridges to bring critical resources to the State of Florida especially those in Monroe County and the Florida Keys."
