LOS ANGELES — The Coast Guard assisted four boaters after their vessel began taking on water near Anacapa Island, Sunday.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., Coast Guard Station Channel Islands Harbor watchstanders received a distress call from a 38-foot boat, with four people aboard, reporting their vessel was taking on water near Anacapa Island.

A Coast Guard Station Channel Islands Harbor 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew launched to assist the boaters.
