Coast Guard medevacs 40-year-old man south of Point Loma

SAN DIEGO — The Coast Guard medevaced a 40-year-old man approximately 70 miles south of Point Loma, Saturday.
At approximately 6 a.m. Saturday, the crew of the 68-foot charter fishing boat Tribute contacted watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector San Diego's Joint Harbor Operations Center to report a passenger was experiencing low blood pressure and other symptoms after falling overboard, and were requesting assistance.
A Coast Guard Sector San Diego MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew was immediately launched to medieval the man.
The Jayhawk crew arrived on scene, hoisted the man and his son and returned to Sector San Diego at approximately 9 a.m. Emergency medical services then transported them to UC San Diego Medical Center, in Hillcrest.
His condition is unknown
