Coast Guard rescues 4 from boat taking on water

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard rescued four people from a boat that was taking on water approximately 18 miles southwest of Dauphin Island, Alabama, Saturday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a report at 10:39 a.m. of the 27-foot boat taking on water.
Sector watchstanders directed the launch of a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Dauphin Island to assist the people aboard the boat.
The boatcrew arrived on scene at 11:17 a.m. and recovered the people.
The boatcrew was unable to dewater the boat and the boat overturned.
The four people were transported to Station Dauphin Island in stable condition.
