1.  This ALCOAST announces the release of Reference (A).  Reference (B) is cancelled.
2.  Ref (A) implements Executive Order 13526, Classified National Security Information
and associated directives within the U.S. Coast Guard.
3.  All Coast Guard Unit Commanders, Commanding Officers, Officers in Charge,
Deputy/Assistant Commandants and Chiefs of Headquarters staff elements shall comply
with the provisions of this manual.  Commanders shall develop, implement and codify a
comprehensive information security program pursuant to the requirements and standards
established by this manual.
4.  No paper distribution will be made of this manual.  Official distribution will be
located on the following COMDT (CG-612) web site CGPortal at:
