Coast Guard medevacs woman from cruise ship off Galveston, Texas
HOUSTON — A Coast Guard Air Station Houston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew medevaced a 30-year-old woman Thursday evening from a cruise ship 10 miles east of Galveston.
The Carnival cruise ship Valor contacted Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders to report that a woman aboard the ship injured her head after a fall, and they requested medical assistance.
The aircrew arrived on scene at approximately 7 p.m. and hoisted the woman from the cruise ship.
She was transported to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and was reported to be in stable condition.
