Coast Guard medevacs 51-year-old man
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a 51-year-old man from a fishing vessel nine nautical miles south of St. Andrews Bay, Florida, Saturday.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a notification at 9:15 a.m. of a man aboard a 50-foot charter boat suffering from reported heart attack-like symptoms.
Watchstanders directed the launch of a Coast Guard Station Panama City 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew at 9:23 a.m.
The boat crew arrived on scene at 9:55 a.m. and successfully transported the survivor to Panama City Marina where he was transferred to local emergency medical technicians.
The survivor was brought to Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Florida, and was reported in stable condition.
