MCKINLEYVILLE, Calif. — The Coast Guard and the Korean War Veterans Association are scheduled to hold a Korean War Veterans Memorial service Thursday morning. 

The memorial will take place underway aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Barracuda, an 87-foot Coastal Patrol Boat homeported in Humboldt Bay. 

Local media outlets are invited to attend the event. All attendees should meet at 8:45 a.m., by the gate to Dock A, Woodley Island Marina. The Barracuda will depart the pier at 9 a.m., and return at approx 10 a.m. Media personnel should dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes.
