Coast Guard medevacs 56-year-old man
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a man aboard a pleasure craft near Destin, Florida, Sunday.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a notification at 12:48 p.m. of a 56-year-old man reportedly having difficulty breathing and going in and out of consciousness aboard a pleasure craft.
Watchstanders diverted a Coast Guard Station Destin 29-foot Response Boat-Small crew and a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew at 12:50 p.m.
The RB-M crew arrived on scene 12:58 p.m., took the patient on board, and transferred him to Station Destin where local emergency services were waiting.
EMS transported the patient to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
