1.  This year’s recipient of the Civil Rights Service Provider (CRSP) of the
Year Award is Senior Chief Petty Officer Jesse Green, CG Civil Rights
Directorate Region 4, Zone 10 Equal Opportunity Advisor (EOA), Cleveland, OH.
I extend hearty congratulations to this outstanding civil rights professional
who has distinguished himself throughout his military career as a dedicated
leader, counselor and mentor.
2.  SCPO Green is recognized for the superior service he provides to commands
as he offers guidance and support to ensure program compliance.  During a seven
month period, he demonstrated his exceptional knowledge and ability to provide
the full spectrum of civil rights services while serving as the sole CRSP for
a designated zone, providing services to more than 80 CG units and 3500 military
members and civilian employees. SCPO Green’s remarkable ability to facilitate
multiple training sessions, timely counsel of military and civilian complaints
of discrimination and advocacy of the use of Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR)
is to be commended.
3.  SCPO Green’s commitment to ensuring Equal Opportunity/Equal Employment
Opportunity (EO/EEO) is further evidenced by his willingness to mentor new CRSPs
to ensure their professional development. His dedication and willingness to
serve others are in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States
Coast Guard.
4.  I commend SCPO Green for his exemplary service and proud display of the
CG core values of honor, respect and devotion to duty.  He will be honored
during a ceremony at CRD Region 4, Cleveland, OH.
