SAN PEDRO, Calif. — A Coast Guard helicopter crew assisted with the medevac of a 12-year-old girl from Ragged Point Monday.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., Cal Fire notified watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach of a girl who reportedly fell from the cliff and sustained a head injury. San Luis Obispo County Sherriff’s Office deputy arrived on scene and provided assistance.

A Coast Guard helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco was launched and hoisted the girl. She was then transferred to Cal Fire EMS for transport to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center where she was last reported to be in stable condition.
