Coast Guard medevacs man from cruise ship near Southwest Pass
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a man from the cruise ship Carnival Dream near Southwest Pass, Louisiana, Saturday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a report that a 77-year-old male passenger was suffering abdominal pain and a medevac was requested.
Watchstanders directed the launch of a Coast Guard Station Venice 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew.
The survivor was transferred to the Station Venice boatcrew and transported to awaiting emergency medical services at Station Venice.
The survivor was transported to West Jefferson Medical Center in stable condition.
