Coast Guard Cutter Active holds change-of-command ceremony

Coast Guard Cmdr. Christofer L. German relieved Cmdr. Benjamin D. Berg as the commanding officer of the Active after being stationed aboard the vessel for two years.

Berg led the crew through six counter narcotics patrols, resulting in the successful interdiction of seven drug-smuggling vessels, the detention of 12 suspects and the seizure of more than 10,500 pounds of contraband. Berg led the crew through six counter narcotics patrols, resulting in the successful interdiction of seven drug-smuggling vessels, the detention of 12 suspects and the seizure of more than 10,500 pounds of contraband.
