PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Coast Guard Capt. Michael F. Nasitka relieved Capt. Scott A. Beauregard as commanding officer of Coast Guard Command, Control, and Communications Engineering Center (C3CEN) during a ceremony in Portsmouth, June 22, 2017.

Rear Adm. Kevin E. Lunday, commander of Coast Guard Cyber Command and assistant commandant for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Technology (C4IT) presided over the ceremony.

Under Beauregard’s leadership, C3CEN executed 429 engineering projects across 63 technological systems utilized by 239 cutters, 1,859 small boats, 47 aircraft and 1,663 shore facilities.

Nasitka most recently served as the commanding officer of Coast Guard Cutter Campbell, homeported in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Nasitka graduated from the Coast Guard Academy in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He later earned a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Rhode Island.

Upon relief, Beauregard retired from the Coast Guard after 37 years of service.
