Coast Guard medevacs 20-year-old male
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a man from 7 miles offshore near Destin, Florida, Wednesday.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a notification at 8:29 a.m. of a 20-year-old male suffering from seizure-like symptoms while fishing offshore.
Watchstanders directed the launch of a Coast Guard Station Destin 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew at 8:53 a.m.
The boatcrew arrived on scene at 9:35 a.m., brought the survivor on board, and successfully transferred him to Okaloosa County Emergency Services at Station Destin.
The survivor was reported in stable condition.
