Video Available: Coast Guard medevacs man, 54, 31 miles southeast of Wassaw Sound

CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Coast Guard medevacked a 54-year-old man Friday 31 miles southeast of Wassaw Sound, Georgia.
Coast Guard Sector Charleston Command Center watch standers were notified at 10:49 a.m. via VHF Channel 16 by the crew of the 41-foot vessel Scat II stating a crewmember was experiencing chest pains.
A Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Facility Charleston was diverted to assist at 10:50 a.m. The helicopter crew arrived on scene at 11:15 a.m., hoisted the man and transported him to Memorial Health: Savannah Hospital.
