Coast Guard rescues four people in the water
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard rescued four people in the water near Dauphin Island, Alabama, Wednesday.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a notification about a capsized 18-foot sailing vessel with four people seen entering the water near the Dauphin Island Bridge at 11:43 a.m.
Watchstanders launched a Coast Guard Station Dauphin Island 29-foot Response Boat-Small boatcrew and a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew at 11:50 a.m.
The boatcrews arrived on scene at 11:58 a.m. and the 45-foot RB-M recovered all persons in the water. The survivors were brought back to Station Dauphin Island.
There were no reported injuries.
