CGC Cypress crewmember medevaced
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a Coast Guard Cutter Cypress crewmember near Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Monday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Station Destin received a request at 2:52 p.m. from the commanding officer of the CGC Cypress to medevac a crewmember due to abdominal pain.
Watchstanders diverted a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew from Station Destin.
The boatcrew embarked the survivor and transported him to waiting emergency medical services at Station Destin.
The survivor was transported to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center in stable condition.
