Coast Guard medevacs man near Terrebonne Bay
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a 56 year-old man running a high temperature and having difficulty moving from a fishing vessel near Terrebonne Bay, Louisiana, Sunday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a report from the fishing vessel Kevin Rico at 8:22 a.m. that a crewmember was was in need of a medevac.
Watchstanders directed the launch of an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans, which hoisted the survivor and transferred him to emergency medical services at Air Station New Orleans.
The survivor was reported to be in stable condition at Ochsner West Bank Hospital.
