Coast Guard medevacs man with head injury
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a man from a fishing camp in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, Friday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a report from Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office at 9:12 p.m. of a boating incident involving an adult male and a child, both suffering head injuries.
Watchstanders directed the launch of an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans.
The aircrew transported the adult survivor to LSU Hospital in New Orleans and was reported in stable condition.
Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office took custody of the child, who was reported to be in good condition, and transferred to next of kin.
