MEDIA ADVISORY: Coast Guard to host reunion for 5 mariners and their rescuers

CLEARWATER, Fla. — Five mariners rescued April 15 by the Coast Guard are scheduled to meet their rescuers Thursday in Clearwater.
Who: Cmdr. Randall Brown, deputy sector commander at Sector St. Petersburg, members from Coast Guard Station Yankeetown, the Air Station Clearwater MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew who conducted the rescue, and the five people who were rescued.
What: A reunion for five mariners and their rescuers.
Where: Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, 15100 Rescue Way, Clearwater, FL 33762
When: Thursday, April 27 at 12:30 p.m.
Media interested in the event are requested to RSVP to Petty Officer 2nd Class Ashley J. Johnson, Public Affairs Detachment Tampa Bay, at 305-965-4672. There will be a 100% ID check, and those attending should arrive no later than 12:15 p.m. Thursday.
A Spanish-speaking Coast Guard member will be available for interviews.
